Genumedi pro is a knee orthosis with stabilising straps and joints for the support of physiological guidance of the knee joint. The product is to be used for orthotic management of the knee exclusively and only on intact skin.

Indications

Mild to moderate instability of the knee joint

Osteoarthritis of the knee

Mild meniscus injuries

Mild lateral ligament instabilities

For postoperative stabilisation and compression, for example following partial meniscectomy or cartilage smoothing

Contraindications

Diseases or injuries of the skin in the area of use, especially with inflammatory symptoms (excessive warming, swelling or reddening)

Sensitivity and perfusion disorders of the legs (e.g. in the case of diabetes)

Lymph outflow disorders, as well as undiagnosed swellings of soft tissues, apart from the area of use

How does it work?/Mode of action

The integrated silicone ring of the Genumedi reduces stress on the kneecap. Together with the compression of the knitted fabric, it causes a massage effect. This enhances perfusion of the joint and decreases swelling and effusion. Irritation and pain are alleviated. At the same time, muscular control and inherent stabilisation of the knee joint are improved. The medially and laterally placed Easyglide joints provide additional stability. The new Easyglide joint technology ensures relief of the knee joint and supports its physiological rolling and gliding movement. The two straps encircling the thigh and calf provide additional stability. Supports are most beneficial during physical activity. 

Donning/fitting instructions

Open both straps.  Grip the brace with the thumb on the inside at the upper end of the lateral adherent nap straps. Pull the brace over your knee in such a way that the silicone ring encircles the patella centrally and without pressure. The middle of the joint should now be in a line with the upper edge of the patella. Close both straps.  To take off the brace, first open both straps, then grip the brace at the lower edge and pull it down. Please take care that trained staff instruct you when putting on the support for the first time.

Wearing directions

The support can in principle be worn throughout the day. This must depend on how comfortable the wearer is. Moreover, the knee may not be bent by more than 70° when sitting. The support should be removed for long breaks (e.g. long periods sitting, long drives or sleeping).

제뉴메디 프로는 무릎에 생리학적으로 올바른 고정 지표가 되어주는 고정 스트랩과 관절 기능이 있는 보호대입니다. 본 제품은 무릎의 교정을 위해 외상 없는 피부 상태일 때만 사용되어야 합니다.

림프 유출 장애 및 착용 부위 이외의 연조직의 불분명한 부종

상하단의 원형 스트랩은 보호대를 안정적으로 고정하고 사용자의 착용시 편안함을 증대합니다.

보호대 상단의 오목한 손잡이는 착용시 편리함을 더합니다.

허벅지 부분의 실리콘 코팅은 보호대의 미끄럼을 방지합니다.

어떻게 작동하는가? / 작용 방식(MOA)

제뉴메디의 일체된 실리콘 링은 슬개골의 압박을 덜어주고 압박 섬유와 같이 작용하여 마사지 효과를 제공합니다. 이로 인해 관절의 관류를 증진시키고 붓기와 삼출을 감소시켜 염증과 통증을 완화하게 됩니다. 동시에 무릎의 근제어력과 자연스러운 고정이 향상됩니다. 내외측에 자리한 이지글라이드 관절은 추가적인 고정을 제공합니다. 이 새로운 이지글라이드 관절 기술은 무릎의 통증 경감과 생리적으로 자연스러운 움직임이 가능토록 지원합니다. 허벅지와 종아리를 감싸는 두 스트랩은 추가 고정력을 제공합니다. 지지력의 제공은 특히 운동시 더욱 유용하게 작용합니다.

착용성 / 착용 방법

양 스트랩을 풀어줍니다. 엄지가 안쪽으로 들어가게 하며 보호대에 부착된 벨벳 측면 스트랩 상단 끝을 잡아줍니다. 실리콘 링이 슬개골에 압박을 가하지 않는 상태로 무릎 뼈 전체를 감싸도록 보호대를 당겨주십시오. 관절의 중앙이 슬개골의 위쪽 가장자리와 일직선상에 위치하고 있어야 됩니다. 양 스트랩을 닫아줍니다. 보호대를 벗기 위해서는 먼저 양 스트랩을 풀어 준 다음 보호대의 하단을 붙잡고 아래로 당겨주면 됩니다. 보호대를 처음으로 착용할 시 훈련된 전문가의 감독하에 착용 하시기 바랍니다.

착용 유의사항

보호대는 하루 종일 사용이 가능하도록 편안한 착용감을 선사하도록 디자인되었지만 사용자가 착용시 느끼는 편안함에 따라 달라질 수 있습니다. 또한 무릎은 착석 시 70° 이상 접혀서는 안됩니다. 장시간의 무활동 동안(예: 장시간 앉아 있을 경우)에는 벗고 계시길 권장합니다.
